Based on the school district’s disparity study, minority contractors were severely underrepresented as recipients of bond building contracts. BCC was hired to engage prime contractors to solicit their input in the development of the new Equity in Contracting goals. AISD’s Contracting and Bond department then hired BCC to host prime contractor community engagement events to solicit feedback and recommendations on the new policy. Their input was important for successfully implementing the District’s Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) contracting program.
